    What Is Peace?

As PeaceBuilders, we pledge to build peace wherever we go and whenever we have a chance. But the question is...What is Peace? What do you think about when you think of Peace? What does it look like, sound like, and/or feel like?

Please add your response in the form of a comment below.

To me, peace is integrity, sharing your thoughts with others, and showing respect. Peace is also loud because if you make it quiet, how can you share it with the world? Peace is having fun. When it is shown at school you see boys and girls playing happily together.

To me, peace is a form of security, a sense that everything is right. Peace is like a glass vase. If it is working, it is smooth and helpful. But if it gets shattered, it can become dangerous.

I think that peace doesn't have to apply to war, but it can mean that you have peace within yourself. This means you are content with who you are, and don't think of what other people think of you.

I think that peace is respect for our family and community. Peace is not fighting and being nice to everyone.

Peace is when people are not fighting in violent ways or in ways that could lead to violence. Peace is when people except their differances and work well with eachother.

Truthfully, I can't say what peace is because everyone has their own takes on what peace means to them. To me,
peace is there being no conflict between different people, everyone treating everyone the same, and that feeling
you have when everything is going your way. Peace looks like friends and family being together enjoying themselves and
great magestic wonders towering over the surrounding backround. Peace sounds like a soothing waterfall dumping thousands
of gallons of water down so gracefully, listening to the waves of the ocean and the soft, crisp chirps of little birds.
Peace feels like nothing could possibly go wrong.

peace is something that everyone should share and pass on even to people they don't know and give it to family, friends, and other people

Peace is love. It's that simple. If there is no love, there is conflict.
You can find peace anywhere. Peace could be a simple handshake, or maybe a friendly hug. Peace is all around you. All you need to do is look for it.

Peace is not fighting, truces everywhere, but it can be anything. For instance a sleeping baby could be peace. Or maybe a calm day in nature. You could be nice to a friend at school, and make something nice for your dad if he had a bad day. The whole world should celebrate peace.

Peace is togetherness with the people you love. Peace at school is playing together at recess and working with one another in the classroom. At home there is no yelling, but quiet discussions. In your community peace is working together to make a better place to live. Peace looks like a hug, or a handshake. Peace sounds like a waterfall or calming sounds. Peace feels like serenity, and calmness.

I think peace is harmony beatween people and all God's creatures. Peace at home is when everyone gets alond. Peace at school is when nobody is fighting. Peace in the community is when you are trying your best to get along with everyone who you come in contact with.

Peace to me is serenity and nonviolence. When I think about peace I think about the peace sign and a dove. I think peace can be in any form from a dove to a human being. It sounds like running water or soft music in the background. Finally, peace feels like reading a book in a quiet room filled with many other stories you can read later on but at that moment being contained in a book.

I think of peace as a helping hand that helps people in need, it sounds like a musical note being played by a piano, and it feels heart warming when you talk about peace.

Peace is no conflict or fighting. Peace is caring for everyone and understanding (or at least trying to understand) others feelings and opinions even if they are different from your own. Peace is something that is passed on from person to person throughout our communities, our friends, and our family. Peace is different for every person but for me, peace is avoiding unnecessary violence in order to create a more loving, friendly world.

To me peace is calmness and serenity. It is atime when you are quiet and relaxed. Peace can be a time when you want to connect and be alone with God. It can also be a time when there is no fighting or war happening.

Peace to me is everyone getting along and not having fights about dumb things. Peace at school is everyone being one happy faith community and playing fairly without lying, cheating, or arguing. Peace at home to me is quiet and everyone getting their work done without distractions. Also, no one bothers you and you don't bother them. In a community peace is everyone getting better understanding of each other and not having crime. If we have all this peace than the country will follow and then a couple years from there we can have a world where everyone is kind. We can remember the world if it became like this as the world where we have peace, integrity, and the best society that anyone has ever known as peaceful and honest, Earth.

Peace, to me, is knowing that under God's loving watch, I will always be protected. It is knowing that I am never alone, even when I feel
isolated. It is knowing God has a plan for me, and I am cared for and important to him. Lastly, it's feeling safe, secure, and at home,
wherever I am, because I always have people who love and care about me, right around me.

    - Peace to me is calm and serenity.
    - School: Where everyone is getting along, no fights/nonjudgmental, no one being left out, or anything like that.
    - Home: Is when your family is happy, calm, not stressed out because of each other, or angry w/ one another.
    - Community: Where the community has no real trivial problems and everyone is happy.

Peace is the warm feeling when you feel safe and secure. Peace brings love from the deepest parts of people's hearts and fills us with joy and happiness. If there is peace, there is love, kind hearts, no war or fights, and there are agreements. Peace to me is when everything fits into place and I feel comfortable and safe.

Peace is like a dove flying through the big great blue and makes everything okay and lets no one get into arguments. If that dove flies too far away, the peace falters and everyone gets into arguments that soon lead to wars. If that dove does fly away, don't falter, just think of it in your mind it flying back. Reality is reality, things happen a lot, but that doesn't mean that we can't fix them. Look into your heart and find peace inside. Just a little bit of peace can make a big difference.

To me, peace is somewhere quiet where you can talk to God. At school peace would be a garden or a church. At my house somewhere peaceful would be my room or outside in my garden. Lastly, in a community peace would be a quit park or hill. To me this is what peace is.

PEACE ARE LOVING, CARING FRIENDS AND FAMILY WHO CALM AND WATCH OVER YOU. PEACE LOOKS LIKE CHRIST ON THE CROSS, SOUNDS LIKE THE SOFT HUM OF POLLONATING BEES, AND FEELS LIKE A FRIEND'S HELPING HAND WHEN YOU ARE IN NEED. WHEN YOU FIND PEACE, YOU WILL CONQUER LIFE.

Everyone living in harmony with each other and nature is peace. When I think about it, I imagine everyone being happy with what they have and who they are. There would be no need for money, power, popularity, or drugs.
Peace looks like people helping others, a quiet, calm beach; or the sun shining through the clouds. It sounds like a waterfall or birds singing. Peace feels like warm sand under your feet, a soft breeze, and the pages of your favorite book.

To me peace is having no conflict or fight and everything is calm and serene. Peace is when everything comes together perfectly and works out for everyone. Peace looks like a beautiful countryside with a gurgling creek and a nice sunset. Peace sounds like people getting along with each other or just a nice song being played. At last, peace feels like you shaking hands with someone you hadn't got along with very well before.

Peace is love and friendship towards another person, wether it is someone you know or not. It is having no war or hate. Peace is something you can give to anyone you see. Peace can be as simple as a handshake when you meet a new classmate, giving a warm smile to someone, or making up with someone after a fight. Peace is all around us. All you have to do is look.

I think that peace is people working together without fighting. Peace is also something you can show others and that they can show you. Peace is stopping all wars and getting along. Countries should talk out problems instead of fighting. If we could accomplish this, there would be a lot more peace in the world.

Peace is love. And love is treating everyone equally. At school peace looks like including others and being friends with everyone. At home
peace looks like help your family without being told to. In your community peace looks like doing community service.

Peace is the small voices of everyone talking and not fighting. It is the one thing that could help us live a safe life not built around fear. If we all bring peace to our communit, imagin how far it could go.

To me peace is harmony, love, fair treatment to all, and a calm society. You should include others for rights to everyone and there should be
no one left out. That's what PEACE means to me.

Peace is a world without violence and anger. It's where people can get along without having the stress of what other people think about them.
